You can retrieve Show Details by accessing the airings under this new title. Contingencies have been updated to reflect these changes. Note: This is a title change only; no other changes have been made.

This is a big deal for local stations.  Previously, NBC labeled almost all of their "sports specials" with no identification of content in the Nielsen-supplied title.  So, buyers and less-than-obsessive sellers really had no way of tracking previous performance or history.

In the past year, there was a movement towards transparency in titling, but it managed to fade in time.  This announcement gives me hope NBC will clearly label their "sports specials" in the future.

All of these "sports specials" have been placed in inventory with estimates. Most diary markets are much more likely to have reasonable viewership to "Supertrucks" than soccer matches against college football on other networks.

Smash Audience Estimates To Be Revised...

New York Times is pretty blunt about last night's "Smash" premiere ratings.

 It may be time for NBC to change the title of its Broadway drama, “Smash.” After its second-season premiere Tuesday night, the show might more appropriately be called, “Smithereens.”

Our clients will see an adjustment by Friday.. I'll wait three days to see if the DVR gods can save this.

I've taken Adults 18-49 ratings to about a 1.5, as I believe the peoplemeter panel skews a bit more upscale urban than my clients' DMA universes.
