In it, I wondered if there was a large segment of people without cable, or video recorders, or internet, who might feel the need to tune into 12 hour old stock market advice at 3am.

In fact, I have yet to see any usable demographics out of this program in any market I have seen in the past three years.

This does beg the question.. why this program? Why not something to jump-start their morning programming, if only a simulcast of an MSNBC produced newscast? But then, I think too much.

Tons of 3rd Party websites have carried the same list of programs and dates since last night.

My perspective: Please review the actual November 2013 PAV demos for the Barclay's Premiere League to get an idea of what this exact schedule delivered last year, as it ran three times in November Sweeps. Also, the MLS playoffs aired in November Sweeps, so you'll be able to use last year's PAV.

In the markets I've seen since December, NBC stations have not delivered the demos delivered by other networks' previous soccer coverage. Perhaps this has to do with the level, location or teams selected.

This is running against college football during September through November. If there are a lot more "football fans" than "soccer moms" in your market, please take this into consideration. On the other hand, I've not seen diary-based demos for these events from heavily Hispanic markets where "soccer" is much more popular than American football, so your DMA's demo mileage may vary.

I'll be happy to be proven wrong, but if the plentiful sponsorship logos plastered in neon colors are any indication, the corporation who purchased this block of time from NBC is trying to appeal to the under 30 year old, semi-upscale international male users of energy drinks who are fans of small, loud cars driven in circles and jumping off ramps.
