ODI Closed on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Here's the official notification.

Ok, here's a factoid you didn't expect. On August 28th, 1963, as Martin Luther King Jr. and hundreds of thousands of others marched through Washington DC on their way to the Lincoln Memorial, they walked through Washington Circle.. where a half-blind, white bread future ratings geek stood on the curb with his father and watched in astonishment.

I can't say I actually saw MLK. But as best I could, I witnessed a massive change in our country.

Look For Critic's Tour Announcements from NBC Today

As this is typed, NBC/U/Comcast/etc is pitching their cable channels in the morning of January 13th, and will probably leak a few tidbits of scheduling NBC specials this afternoon, Hollywood time.

Chattanooga Data Arrives..

Nielsen has changed their distribution of sweeps data this time. In all previous major sweeps, Nielsen burned data on DVDs, then used FedEx to ship them to third-party processors. With the slow roll-out of monthly data (for some markets) came electronic distribution of sweeps info.

Premium RDRx clients got their data today. The most senior of them all goes first.

By close of business today, Chattanooga time, WRCB will have completely revised quarterly and specials Selling Books based on November 2010 data.
