This morning, APT shows nearly all of the Summer Olympics schedule listed in Contingencies.
Summer Olympics have run out of sweeps for quite a while, and using twenty year old diary demographics has its limitations. Here's a place where local peoplemeters are very helpful.
It does not appear as if NBC has listed the Opening or Closing ceremonies yet, but I'll place them in client inventories anyway.. the Opening Ceremony is the highest rated event of the Olympics.
Opinion:
By the way, if your diary-market clients are asking you to guarantee rating points for Olympic events, find another client... the halo effect of Olympics out of sweep cannot be measured in diary markets, and you have a year to find someone willing to pay for the entire suite of benefits that comes with Olympic advertising.
